The Committee also holds a number of planning meetings,
which are in addition to the meetings that are
set in the Constitution.
The Management Committee conducts itself in accordance with
the responsibilities specified in the
SSF policy and has a duty to
the Policy to ensure that all SSF
initiatives do not have a negative impact on any disadvantaged groups.
Role of Chair
In the context of the Constitution and terms of membership, the Chair's primary responsibilities are:
Chair the forum's Open Meetings, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the meetings of the Management Committee.
Prepare an annual Chair's report for the AGM.
Present the Treasure'ss Financial Statement at the AGM.
Play a key role in raising awareness of the forum's activities both locally and regionally.
Represent the forum at local, regional and national meetings as appropriate.
Be the official forum spokesperson.
Initiate production of the quarterly newsletter.
Role of Secretary
In the context of the Constitution and terms of membership, the Secretary's primary responsibilities are:
Book venues and arrange meetings.
Produce notes and minutes of SSF Management Committee meetings.
Arrange for the production, publication and distribution of the quarterly newsletter.
Maintain the SSF membership database.
Role of Treasurer
In the context of the Constitution and terms of membership, the Treasurer's primary responsibilities are:
Maintain a record of the accounts.
Present a financial report at every meeting of the Management Committee.
Present an up-to-date financial report at the AGM.
